Inverhuron Bike Park
The Inverhuron Mountain Bike Park, located at the end of Richards Drive in Inverhuron, is the site of a former gavel pit acquired many years ago by the Municipality of Kincardine. It was left unused until early 2007 when the idea of developing it into a recreation-themed park of sorts was born.
Following a site visit, a sub-committee was formed to investigate, design, and ultimately construct a mountain bike park on the Richards Drive site.
Due to the interesting topography of the property, the committee chose to design a gravity -oriented park with a network of short free-ride trails, longer trail loops and a dirt jump & skills park.
The summer of 2008 brought the final design and phase 1 construction period of the project.
A tentative layout of the proposed park sections was then decided upon.
By the end of the summer a single free-ride trail "2 Smokes, Let's Go!" with a branching trail "The Swayzee Express", a short and technical skinny trail "The Twiggy Alien Man", a dirt jump park "Jackson's Jumps" and a small skills development park were designed and built along with the necessary infrastructure such as fencing, signage and an access trail for emergency or construction vehicles.

The park was open from August to November in 2008 and has re-opened to begin phase 2 construction this spring, which will include the completion of a family friendly long looped trail through the bush, "Peach and Cake", and two more technical trails as well as trails linking this park with Inverhuron Provincial Park.
