Pipe Band Parades
No
summer visit to Kincardine would be complete without walking down
Queen Street following the world famous Kincardine Scottish Pipe
Band Parade on Saturday evenings.
The pipe band begins weekly parades in late June - they are as
much a part of summer in Kincardine as are sunshine and sparkling
water.
The band forms up at Victoria Park at 8 pm and follows Queen Street
(the main street through downtown) to Quinn Plaza then returns back
to the park where a short concert is held.
Visiting pipers and drummers are encouraged to take part in this
unique Kincardine Tradition that entertains visitors and residents
alike!
Over the years, the parades and concerts have given thousands of
people the opportunity to know and love Kincardine. Many of these
people have returned year after year, as children, parents and grandparents.
The pipe band is one of the largest in the province, boasting more
than 60 members. its a charitable organization and concentrates
