Cycling Route # 2Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park & Bruce Power Information Centre(20 km one way)This trip leads through rolling farm country and while the shoreline is only a short side-trip away, Lake Huron is not visible. Inverhuron Provincial Park affords some excellent hiking and off-road trails, while the Bruce Power Information Centre is an exciting attraction with many interactive exhibits and displays, which tell the story of nuclear power generation and the plant's history in Bruce County. The adjacent community of Tiverton has several good restaurants, variety stores and hand-dipped ice cream. From Kincardine, take Queen Street north, which becomes County Road 23 as it leaves Kincardine. At County Road 15 turn left (west) and then right (north) to Inverhuron Provincial Park. This is a day park with a beach for swimming. From Inverhuron Park, carry on north, turning left (west) at the junction and then a quick right (north). At the next junction, turn right again (east) to visit the Bruce Nuclear Power Development Information Centre. Nuclear Power displays and tours are available. Return to Kincardine via County Road 4 east and 23 north or carry on north to Port Elgin.
