Hose Tower

Paisley Hose Tower

Built in 1891 the Hose Tower looks similar to a lighthouse in design. Hoses were hoisted in the tower for drying after use. The louvered openeings in the tower allow air to move upward, evaporating the water from the hoses. The building has undergone extensive restoration and is an easily recognizable icon in the village.
